Best Blog Posts of 2012

2012 was a BIG year for the Gummylump Blog. We opened up the doors to lots of creative and talented contributors that helped build our library of crafts and activities for you to enjoy and hopefully try at home.

This is a quick recap of some of our favorite blog posts of the year. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Cardboard Carnival Games from Samantha, Little Hands, Big Work
Stash away some cardboard boxes and get creative with markers and construction paper to build ball toss, racing and other games to keep kids busy and entertained.

Build Your Own Ice Cream Truck from Melinda, LookWhatMomFound...and Dad too!
It took about 2 weeks to save up boxes of all shapes and sizes to get enough to build our ice cream truck but it was worth it. Some help from big sister and mom and using Ice Cream Cone Play Food made this some of the best fun we had this summer.

All About Me Book for Kids from Amanda, Crafts n’ Things for Children
Kids grow up so fast it's hard to hold onto some memories forever. Help them create their own About Me book full of keepsakes, stories, details and pictures so they can look back and remember together what was so special about that time. Amanda has included printables to help you get started.

Finding the Balance as a Working Mom from Kelly, The Turnip Farmer
Whether you work inside or outside the home Kelly was able to capture some feelings lots of mothers go through when it comes to being a working mom. It secret is finding the balance and accepting your choices as the best for your family.

Building Fine Motor Skills from Vicky, Mess for Less
Little hands get a workout when working with stickers. Creativity and imagination also get tested during this Make a Face activity.

Sandpaper and Felt Art Board from Natalie, SippyCup Mom
Containing kids toy messes is already a struggle but it can get even worse when you are on the go. This clever idea to use sandpaper and felt shapes as a traveling art project is great for just about any kid, any age.

Did you have favorite crafts or projects you saw this year?

These are the really best work of 2012 and creative too. I like the most Amnanda and Samantha work. Keep doing such creative things to make children more sharp and brilliant.
