Making New Friends with Paper Dolls #Kids #Crafty

Playdates, classroom, local park, playground, library. These are all great spots where kids are introduced to new kids as opportunities to make new friends.  Paper dolls make new friends with each other and paper pets in this almost any age friendly crafty activity.

Time Needed: 45 minutes

  • Draw the paper dolls on the card stock paper or look online for paper dolls and print them with your printer.
  • Let your children decide on clothes and pets.
  • Cut out the paper dolls, clothes, and pets.
  • Let your children color their new friends.

The reason I picked paper dolls is because my 5 year old daughter is starting school this fall. This will give me a chance to work with her on meeting new friends. I'm hoping this roll playing with paper dolls will help ease her fears of being in a strange place with strange people.

I also picked paper dolls because we can always add clothes and new pets. I'm also looking online for rooms so the kids can have a paper doll house.

For Younger Children and Children with Special Needs:
Assist your child as much as needed - but allow it to be their project. You can do the cutting but let the child do the coloring and decorating.
