Baby Birds in Nest Sponge Painting Craft: Kids Craft #34 of 300 Crafts for Kids

KIDS CRAFTS PROJECT #34: Baby Birds in Nest Sponge Painting
Crafts for all abilities!
for Ages 2 Years and Up
So Easy and Looks Adorable!

Supplies Needed:
Time Needed:  
  • 15 Minutes
What To Do: 
  1. ADULT: Cut shapes from the sponge as shown below:
    For the eggs.

    Egg (oval), Twigs (straight across sponge width and length), and Bird (circle with triangular end).

  2. Pour a little of each of your poster paints onto a paper plate or craft bowl.

  3.  Start with the egg shape and dip into blue (or whatever you prefer) and then press onto the middle of your paper.
  4. Dip and press until you have as many eggs as you'd like.
  5. Dip your twig sponge into the brown paint (or make it by mixing red, green and a little yellow) and pressing it onto the paper under the eggs.

  6. Dip and press your next twig sponge in varying directions so it overlaps the other twig paint This will make it look like a nest.
  7. Dip your bird sponge into the yellow paint and press onto the paper.
  8. Put a dot of white glue on each bird and add a googly eye.
  9. ENJOY! You're done!
